What You’re Probably Wondering…

Waiting & seeing isn’t peace of mind — getting support is.

  • A wellness consultation is a proactive, educational session for families who want support with things like tummy time, babywearing, head shape, or developmental play—but don’t necessarily have a medical concern or diagnosis. These sessions are not billed to insurance and don't require a referral.

A physical therapy evaluation is a medical service focused on diagnosing and treating specific concerns like torticollis, developmental delays, or motor issues. It may be eligible for insurance reimbursement and often requires a referral from your pediatrician.

Still not sure which one to book? [Reach out here] and I’ll help you choose the right fit for your baby.

  • You can start with a wellness consultation (Tummy Time/Milestone Play Session) & we’ll figure it out together. If your baby needs more targeted support, I’ll let you know & walk you through next steps.

If your baby already has a diagnosis of Torticollis, has a strong head turn preference & is over 8 weeks old, or you already have a referral for Physical Therapy, please check out this page for more information on Infant Physical Therapy services.

  • This consultations are most effective if you are expecting & would like to be proactive about preventing head shape asymmetries. These consultations are also extremely helpful if your baby has already arrived (0-8 weeks old) & you have concerns about your baby’s head shape in the absence of an obvious head tilt (ear to shoulder) or if you’re debating whether or not to pursue helmet therapy for a misshapen head. To helmet or not to helmet is a very personal decision with lots of factors to consider (cost, time, effectiveness, etc). These consultations can be an excellent supplement to concurrent PT treatment.

  • Wellness services like developmental playgroups (Little Baby Playgroup) & classes (Little Baby Tummy Time), Tummy time/Milestone play sessions, Babywearing consults, Head shape consults and Baby Massage Lessons are not typically covered by insurance.

Physical therapy evaluations & treatment sessions may be covered by your insurance depending on your provider. Please reach out here with questions about coverage.

  • Torticollis is when a baby shows a strong preference for turning their head to one side (chin to shoulder) with or without a head tilt (ear to shoulder), often from tightness or weakness in the neck or body. It can be complex & often doesn’t present as “textbook” Congenital Muscular Torticollis. A therapy evaluation is important to assess your baby’s strength, muscle tone, range of motion, mobility, visual skills, sensory regulation skills, etc to determine exactly what’s causing that turn preference or head tilt. Torticollis, especially if left untreated, can contribute to head shape asymmetries and/or impact early development—but the good news is, early therapy can help tremendously. Therapy leads to the fastest & quickest recovery usually with complete resolution if started prior to 2 months of age.

  • Depending on the service, I offer a mix of in-home, in-office & virtual visits. I’ll always do my best to work with you to find what’s most convenient & comfortable for your family.

Generally, Tummy Time/Milestone Consultations & Play Sessions, Baby Massage Lessons and Flat Head Prevention/Early Correction Consultations take place in your home or virtually if you live outside of my driving radius (all of NCC, most of Kent County, DE).

Mini Fit Checks take place at Natural Nest Play Cafe (Middletown location) or virtually. All other Babywearing services take place in person at Natural Nest Play Cafe (Middletown).

  • I primarily support babies from birth through 12 months, as well as the families who care for them. Whether you’re preparing for your baby’s arrival or navigating life with a newborn, I’m here to help with development, movement & connection.

I still provide Early Intervention Physical Therapy services an independent contractor, where I may work with children through their 3rd birthday.

  • The short answer: No

Delaware allows Physical Therapists to have direct access which means I can evaluate & treat a client for up to 30 days without a physician’s signature. One incredible benefit of working with a small private pediatric practice, is that I don’t require clients to obtain a therapy script prior their Evaluation. I’ll complete the Evaluation & send the written report over to your baby’s care team. You can simply mention that you’ve been evaluated by an infant PT at your next regularly scheduled appointment.

  • Absolutely! Tummy time doesn’t have to & shouldn’t be a struggle. Tummy time is a “no-cry” zone because if your baby is crying, they aren’t learning. If your baby isn’t tolerating Tummy Time, there’s a reason & we’ll work together to get to the bottom of it.

During a Tummy Time Consultation & Play Session, I’ll share all of my professional tips to make it a positive experience for both of you.

  • There are a variety of sessions to support your individualized needs & meet you where you’re at on your own personal Babywearing journey.
