How my journey began…

Hey there, I’m so glad you found your way here.

My journey into motherhood started out… rough. Those early weeks? They were overwhelming, exhausting & honestly, really lonely. My baby struggled to eat, struggled to sleep & cried inconsolably. I kept thinking, Why can’t I do this? I work with babies—I should know what I’m doing! The truth is, despite reading the parenting books & taking the classes, I was left woefully unprepared. There was so much NOISE. Put baby down drowsy but awake. You can’t overfeed a breastfed baby. Do ninety minutes of tummy time a day. You should cut out dairy. It went on & on. Everything seemed so overcomplicated. It felt impossible to find the right experts to guide us. My mental health declined. My marriage felt the strain. An identity crisis ensued. I definitely didn’t recognize the woman I became but I’m so grateful for what I discovered on the other side.

As I let go of & grieved the version of new motherhood I thought I’d have, I learned to give myself grace. I was the best mother for my baby. My intuition was powerful. I just needed the right support—and a community that reminded me I wasn’t alone. Thankfully, I found a group of mothers who listened without judgment, cried with me, laughed with me, inspired me, encouraged me & helped me find my way. That changed everything for me.

As I spent more time with other new moms, it became so clear: we are not getting the support we need in all facets of motherhood, including when it comes to learning to nurture our baby’s early development. I truly believe most of your pediatricians have your baby’s best interest at heart, but they’re experts in medicine & often are simply not trained nor have the time to guide you through things like movement milestone questions, tummy time battles or the “Is this normal?” developmental spiral we all go through. You’ve likely heard what so many others have heard before you, myself included—Let’s just wait and see. We can no longer accept that antiquated approach. I deserved better. You deserved better. Our babies deserved better.

So in October of 2020, I started sharing evidenced-informed developmental tips & real-life mom moments on Instagram. What began as a creative outlet quickly turned into a space where parents could learn, feel seen & ask for help. It grew quickly in ways I never imagined. By April 2021, I was offering virtual support via personalized developmental consultations & group classes. In August 2021, the first season of in-person outdoor Little Baby Movement Class kicked off & I knew I had found my new home. That was just the beginning.

Now I help parents just like you feel more confident supporting their baby’s development from the early tummy time days to those first wobbly steps. Whether you’re wondering if your baby is “on track,” feeling anxious about “flat head”, need tummy time tips, want play ideas & toy recommendations or just need someone in your corner—I’m here for it. I’ll meet you right where you are, with practical strategies & heartfelt support.

Become confident parents & grow strong babies — together!

The other stuff….

Sarah graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 2015 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree & began her career as a licensed Physical Therapist working with adults in a hospital setting at a Level 1 Trauma center in Pennsylvania. She loved the intensity & fast-paced nature of the hospital but her sights were always set on Pediatrics.

With thoughts of starting their own family, Sarah & her husband Josh moved closer to home in 2017. Sarah began providing Early Intervention Physical Therapy to children from birth - 3 years old in homes & daycares throughout the state of Delaware. She continues to work part-time in this setting while growing into areas of outpatient Pediatric Physical Therapy, specializing in Torticollis, Head Shape & Delayed Milestones. She has a special interest in supporting parents on their feeding journeys, using her diverse skill set as a Physical Therapist to improve your baby’s ability to eat, sleep & move. Additionally, Sarah has experience providing home-health pediatric care to children through age 21.

Sarah & Josh welcomed their first sweet (& fierce), red-headed baby girl, Eloise, into the world in April 2019 & their second red-headed baby girl, Aubrey, in July 2021. They now have a son, baby Bennett, born August 2024.

“This is not a race. It’s a journey. Enjoy the moment.”
